Why should I bother reading Dr. Celi’s book?
Dr. Celi’s book has become a saving grace for men being better understood and positively supported. In respect of men’s natural psychology, Dr. Celi interviewed six Australian men so as to incorporate words from men for men.
As one man put it, “It’s like an operation manual”. I hadn’t looked at that way and yet it helped me realise that it was this factor that was also helping female readers gain some insight and understanding. That can only be of more help to men of the 21 st Century!
The feedback Dr. Celi has received (click here for a snapshot of the feedback) highlight how her book has become a window into the many factors that are important to men and how men prefer to approach life.

What it would be like attending one of Dr. Celi’s presentations?
Relaxed, easy going, informative, laughs all round. Guaranteed, you’ll observe clear cut ways that men and their health can be spoken of with respect and courtesy to their natural and normal masculine psychology, no digs or underhanded comments that she’s observed all too often that twist her stomach.
Depending on the topic, some controversial issues may arise that can ramp up the energy in the room, the air conditioner may need to be adjusted to cool the room temperature. Despite the heated topics that may arise, the manner they are approached is always respectful. We “attack” the issue, not the messengers. You’ll always leave the room with some food for thought.
Elizabeth targets her presentations to the audience in the room, there are no short cuts or generic presentations slightly tweaked for each audience. Each presentation is prepared from scratch on the foundations of her knowledge and experience accumulated over her 8 years in psychological practice and professional speaking.
Is Dr. Celi’s book like some other men’s health books that say “Men don’t do this, men won’t do that…” blah blah?
NO. Full stop. The philosophy behind Dr. Celi’s book is to increase appreciation and respect for how men view themselves and the world. It’s valid. It doesn’t need to be defended. It simply needs to be understood. Then we can negotiate win/win’s in our interactions.
That’s why words from men for men are incorporated into the book. The conversation between Dr. Celi and the men, individually and as a group demonstrate how we can respectfully talk about topics that are important.
Is her book full of psycho babble and technical language?
NO, far from it! Despite my academic background, I prefer conversation where we’re all on the same page, no pun intended!
Seriously, the conversations are there for you to feel like we’re in the room with you having a casual and easy going conversation.
The chapters are arranged so as to unfold the many layers that influence men’s thinking when it comes to their health. So really, after you’ve read chapters 1 and 2, y you can read the whole book one chapter after another, or read them out of order. That is, just open up to a particular chapter that tickles your fancy to read up on some conversational insight.
